George Belliveau launches first solo album

(Moncton, June 20 2006) - George Belliveau has just launched L’amour viendra nous sauver, his first solo album, today June 20 2006. Signing country and folk music straight from the heart, the experienced Acadian singer-songwriter makes us travel on the path of love passing trough Louisiana and in all the places and the life moments where George finds his musical inspiration. Having the project of a solo album in mind for a number of years, George took the necessary time to create a quality product that will certainly please the greatest country fan, as well as the amateurs and the ones who have yet to discover the music making millions sing around the world.

The album L’amour viendra nous sauver contains 13 songs, 12 of which are original compositions. To complement his own writing and musical arrangements, George sought the help of many talented artists. We can hear songs written by Nova Scotia singer Ronald Bourgeois as well as by Daniel Leger, and Monique Poirier, and a traditional piece for which the musical arrangements are by Jac Gautreau. “All those who have surrounded me with their talent for this project have helped to create a real closeness that comes out of each lyric and song, says the one who hopes to reach a majority of people with his music. It is truly with a lot of warmth and happiness that I have produced this first solo album; a project that I held at heart for such a long time.”

Hailing from Pré-d’en-haut in the Memramcook Valley in New Brunswick, George Belliveau is an artist and the cofounder, technician, producer, and director of the Studio Belivo in Barachois. He accompanies a great number of artists in the production of their CD. He has evolved on the Acadian musical scene since adolescence playing with a number of groups including the group Belivo, which he founded with his brothers, and the renowned Bois-Joli, a group that made many people dance. During his musical journey, George has always cultivated a sincere love for his own music. Between two songs or two studio sessions, he always finds the time to work on his passion that has never left him during all these years of singing and playing with a variety of groups.

For this first solo album, George Belliveau is accompanied by Danny Bourgeois, drums, Étienne LeBlanc and Chris Wheaton, bass, Mario Robichaud, piano and keyboards, Mike Bourgeois, guitar, Daniel Maillet, banjo, mandolin, and the dobro, Denis Hachey, percussions, and Paul Hébert, vocals.
